New-Build Customer Care Technician – West Midlands – £38,000+ (DOE)

Maintenance Technician

Location: Birmingham, Stafford, Warwick
Salary: Competitive DOE + Van + Fuel Card + Purchasing Card
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to carry out high-quality remedial and maintenance works within newly completed homes across the West Midlands region. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, delivers excellent customer service, and can confidently represent a leading 5★ housebuilder.

You will play a key part in enhancing the customer experience by resolving defects promptly, professionally, and in line with company standards and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete a range of high-quality remedial and maintenance works within customer homes.
• Manage and prioritise your workload to meet agreed timescales and SLAs.
• Ensure all works comply with company policies
• Record all completed works, root causes, and progress updates
• Monitor and liaise with subcontractors where required, ensuring clear communication with both customers and Customer Care Coordinators.
• Work cost-effectively, identify potential contra-charge opportunities, and follow correct approval/sign-off procedures.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and promote safe working practices at all times.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Proven competency across homeowner maintenance tasks.
• Fencing, grouting, tiling, patch plastering and painting experience essential.
• Strong customer service skills with a polite, professional manner.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and digital reporting systems.
• First Aid qualification advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence required.
